Need to get Back to My Art

I have been consumed with working on my family tree. That's a whole different art and different blog and it's consuming my time.

Tonight I want to get out my pencils again; my colored pencils, put on my artist hat and create! I find it so relaxing and might even do some zendoodle-ing.......something that can be done in front of the TV. Can't miss Big Brother tonight.

Family tree, art, crocheting, knitting, jewelry! Yikes! I don't know what I should do but work on one thing at a time. Am I going crazy?

That should be me on my bike, if I had one, but for sure that's my butt!

This is one of my favorite pieces of art. I used lots of acrylic paints, stencils, stamps, sprays, wax crayons. You may recognize the artist's work. It's Tamara LaPorte........She's beautiful artist and the best way I know how to learn is to find a picture I like and try it. I love her work.

Colors of Summer Challenge

Colors of Summer challenge is sage and sepia this week! I missed last week due to lack of data on my wifi plan so I will probably post it today, too.

I thought it looked more sage than it shows on my monitor. It was fun and I'm glad I discovered colored pencils.

The week before was candy apple red and yellow, I think. More colored pencils and my portfolios. I know they look like they're floating but it's not really a still life, it's a picture of apples! LOL
